Vision, Mission, and Purpose
VISION
The vision of the Soil Science Study Program is to become an excellent study program for producing high-quality human resource’s ability to solve soil management problems with environmental conception in preserving natural resources by improving science and technology, oriented toward national interest and societal welfare based on Pancasila.
MISSION
Mission of the Soil Science Study Program, namely:
- Conducting research-based education in the field of soil science able to identify problems and look for methods to solve them based on principles of soil management and land sustainability;
- Creating sustainable strategic research based on regional potentials to solve problems in the agricultural sector by using scientific and technological developments;
- Providing services and ensuring dedication to society with a structured and integrated programs for social empowerment; and
- Developing an institution that is perceptive toward the developments of science and technology, government regulation, and social needs.
PURPOSE
The objectives of the Soil Science Study Program are:
- Able to develop science and technology related to land management as land elements in supporting human life needs; both with basic research, innovative and applied research in the field.
- To produce graduates who are able to consistently learn and improve themselves to continue to a higher level of knowledge, both Graduate level.
- Always be responsive to the interests of the current farming community and agricultural problems in the surrounding environment.
- Take an active role in planning and developing land for various purposes of its use.
